Common problems

The sign-in code didn't arrive

Check your spam or promotions folder for an email from login@calories.food. Codes expire after 15 minutes; start the sign-in again from your AI app to get a new one. After several attempts in an hour, sign-in pauses for up to an hour.

My AI says it can't find calories.food

Make sure the connector is added and switched on for the chat. In ChatGPT you may need to enable it per conversation. In Gemini, custom apps are only available in the US for now. See the setup steps.

A calorie number looks wrong

Tell your AI, for example "the rice was 300 g, not 200 g", and it will correct the entry. Estimates from photos are most often off on portion size.

Meals show up on the wrong day

Tell your AI your timezone, for example "my timezone is Asia/Kolkata". New meals will use it. Meals already logged keep the day they were saved on.

Delete your account

Deleting your account permanently removes your email, every meal, your goals, body details, weights and measurements, and signs out every connected AI app. It can't be undone.

  1. Open app.calories.food → Settings and choose Delete account. We email a 6-digit code to your sign-in address; enter it and everything is deleted straight away. The code makes sure someone using a device you left signed in can't delete your account.
  2. Or email support@calories.food from the email address you sign in with, with the subject "Delete my account". We'll delete everything within 7 days and reply to confirm.

Left yourself signed in somewhere?

In the app, open Settings → Sign out everywhere. It ends every session at once, on other devices and in Claude or other AI apps, without deleting anything. Then sign in again where you want to use it.

Disconnect one app only

Remove the calories.food connector in that app's settings. Your log stays, and other connected apps keep working.
